Wendell W. Wilson, 78, of Tidal Wave Road, Corbin departed this life on Friday, January 11, 2019 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset.

He was born on November 3, 1940 in Williamsburg, to the late Roscoe Wilson and Orena (Large) Wilson.

Wendell was a deacon at Briar Creek Baptist Church, a choir member and a veteran of the United States Army.

Wendell was a master plumber who owned and operated his own business for over 30 years.

He is survived by his wife, Rose (Taylor) Wilson of Corbin; two daughters, Angela Douglas of Corbin and Pamela Clark (Jeff) of Stearns; four grandchildren, Colby Wilson, Dylan Clark, Matthew Douglas and Cole Clark; two great granddaughters, Lucy and Claire Wilson; brother, Charles Wilson (Carolyn) of Williamsburg; three sisters, Eleanor Monhollen of New Carlisle, OH, Betty McKee (Scott) of St. Petersburg, FL and Judy Durbin (Eddie) of Corbin; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.

The funeral service was held Monday, January 14, at the

Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Mitchell and Bro. Michael Wilson officiating.

Following the service he was laid to rest in the Slusher Cemetery.
