Whitley Co. Extension Community Art Center honors Alice Fae Weiland as Volunteer of the Decade

In recognition of her dedication and service to the Whitley County Extension Community Arts program, Alice Fae Weiland has been bestowed the honor of Volunteer of the Decade.

Weiland has been an integral part of the local arts community for many years. A master basket artist, she has dedicated countless hours of her life to teaching classes for free.

Weiland’s leadership, generosity, and extensive knowledge of basket making have enriched the lives of many in the community, and preserved the craft for future generations. Her teaching and mentorship have left a lasting impact, embodying the spirit of service and collaboration.

The Whitley County Extension Community Art Center thanks Weiland for her invaluable contributions and inspiring leadership.
