Wilbert “Bert” B. Siler

Wilbert “Bert” B. Siler, born January 27, 1935, went to be with the Lord in the early hours of Monday, April 4, 2022, in Lexington, Kentucky.
He was married to Bessie Ellis Siler on February 18, 1962, having recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
Bert Siler loved God, his family, his church, the community, and people.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William B. Siler and Bessie Dixon Siler. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Earl Siler, Joel Siler, Lowell Siler, and his twin brother Willard Siler; three sisters, Nona Siler Perkins, Opal Siler Partin, and Iva Jean Siler Campbell.
Survivors, other than his wife, Bessie include his nieces and nephews who loved him dearly, James Siler (JoAnn), Janna Partin Vice (Wayne), Duane Campbell (Rosalind), Debbie Campbell Moran (Mark), Tim Siler (Lisa), Mark Siler (Jennifer) and Jimmy Siler (Lisa); he is also survived by a sister-in-law, Flora Ellis Prewitt; two brothers-in-law, James Ellis, and Dr. George Ellis (Joyce); and a host of other dear family members and friends.
He was a member and deacon of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and a loyal Whitley County Farm Bureau Board Member for more than 50 years.
Visitation will be on Thursday, April 7, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Croley Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be conducted Friday, April 8, at 2:00 PM at the Croley Funeral Home, with Pastor David Johnson and Rev. Jimmy Siler officiating the service.
Burial will follow in the Siler Cemetery on Meadow Creek.
Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and the Men’s Sunday School Class.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church at 9695 Highway 779, Rockholds, KY 40759.
