William E. “Bill” Boggs, 79, of Corbin passed away Thursday, September 16, 2021 in Lexington, KY.
Born in Corbin, he was the son of the late Raymond and Teresa Dorsey Boggs.
Bill served in the U.S. Army, worked as an electrician for CSX Railroad, and enjoyed fishing, gardening, and woodworking. He belonged to the 20th Street Baptist Church, the Hugh Harris Lodge #938 F&AM, and Bryant Chapter #20-Order of the Eastern Star.
Bill is survived by his wife, Patricia Storms Boggs; three daughters, Cheryl Boggs Fuller (Paul) and their daughter Sarah Fuller, Christy Britton (Kevin), and Tonya Castle (Sam) and children Blakely and Bracken Castle; a sister, Reba Browning (Paul) of Paris, KY and their son Greg Browning (Gwen) of Lexington, SC.
Masonic rites were held during visitation on Sunday, September 19. His funeral was Monday, September 20, at the funeral home with Rev. Raymond Hampton officiating. Burial will follow at the Bingham Cemetery.
