william-mckeehan-picWilliam “Mac” McKeehan, 94, of Williamsburg,  passed away Wednesday September 14, 2016 at Continue Care Hospital in Corbin.

He was born July 2, 1922 in Corbin, to the late James William McKeehan and the late Rebecca Eaton McKeehan.

He was a member of the Williamsburg Masonic Lodge #490 and a member of the Whitley County Shrine Club.

He was a veteran of the US Army during World War II.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by 15 brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his wife of 74 years Geraldine McKeehan of Williamsburg, daughter Phyllis Lay (Dennis) of Corbin, son Larry McKeehan (Lue) of Louisville; four grandchildren Derrick Lay, Paige Ashcraft (Matt), Laura Billingsley (Brent) and Clay McKeehan (Emily), four great grandchildren Ashton Billingsley, Greyson Billingsley, Grant Billingsley and Alexandra Ashcraft, several nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services were held Monday, September 19, at the Ellison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton officiating.

Masonic rites were conducted by the Williamsburg Masonic Lodge.

Following the service he was laid to rest in the Corinth Cemetery.
