William “WD” Bryant

William “WD” Bryant, age 76, of Lot Mud Creek Road, Williamsburg, Kentucky departed this life on Friday, May 20, 2022 at the St. Joseph Hospital in London, Kentucky.
He was born on May 18, 1946 in Whitley County, Kentucky to Eldon Bryant and Ruth (Combs) Bryant. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eldon and Ruth (Combs) Bryant; sister, Artie Lee Trammell; and father/mother-in-law, Martin and Thelma (Bowman) Godsey.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the Black Oak Missionary Baptist Church. He loved building the church and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Martha (Godsey) Bryant of Williamsburg; two children, Stacy Smith (Jody) of Williamsburg and Martin Bryant (Nicki) of Williamsburg; three grandchildren, Hunter Smith, Addison Bryant, and Kylie Jo Smith; brothers, Alvis Bryant (Mary Kay) of Williamsburg and Otis Bryant of Williamsburg; sister, Novella Ferguson of Williamsburg; several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral service was Monday, May 23, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keith Decker and Rev. Gerald Mullins officiating.
He was laid to rest in the Bryant Family Cemetery on Skaggs Branch.
Military Graveside Honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post #88 of Corbin, Kentucky.
