Williamsburg grad wins KSP award

Trooper Donnie Moses, of KSP Post 15 in Columbia, received the Trooper’s Medal Award from Kentucky State Police Commissioner Rodney Brewer (left) and J. Michael Brown, Justice and Public Safety Cabinet Secretary (right) in Frankfort on May 20. Moses received the award for a May 2008 incident in a Lebanon, Ky. restaurant where he came to the aid of a 65-year-old woman who was choking. After he performed the Heimlich manuever three times, she began to breath on her own. A Danville resident, Moses is a six-year KSP veteran and a 1987 graduate of Williamsburg High School in Whitely County. He is the son of Don and Margaret Moses of Williamsburg.
