A Woodbine woman pleaded not guilty to a charge that she shot at a man at a home in Woodbine Wednesday night.
Fifty-two-year-old Terry Sue Hudson, who is charged with one count of first-degree wanton endangerment, was arraigned Thursday in Whitley District Court.
District Court Judge Cathy Prewitt set the case for a preliminary hearing at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Corbin.
Hudson’s bond is set at $10,000 cash. In addition, she is to have no contact with the victim.
Officials at the Whitley County Sheriff’s Department stated that Deputy Tim Baker was called to a residence on Colonel Ridge Road off of Ky. 6 about 6:30 p.m. in response to a 911 call that a man had been shot at.
Deputy Baker reported finding multiple bullet holes in the kitchen wall and ceiling areas of the home and casing from a .38 caliber firearm on the floor.
The victim told deputies it was Hudson who had shot at him.
Following further investigation, Hudson was arrested and lodged in the Whitley County Detention Center.
Under Kentucky Law, first-degree wanton endangerment is a Class D felony carrying a potential sentence of one to five years in prison.
