WPD officer who fired shots at suspect on I-75 remains on administrative leave

A Williamsburg police officer, who fired shots at a suspect during a May 25 shooting incident along I-75 in Campbell County, Tennessee, did so because he was afraid the suspect was going to cause a crash that could kill either the suspect or someone else, he told Whitley County E-911 dispatchers shortly after the shooting incident. Although the officer apparently fired two shots, no one was hit.
