Yvonne Cornett Sanders, 60, of Corbin passed away on Tuesday September 4, 2018 in Corbin.
She was born in Hazard a daughter to the late Wilson Cornett and Nancy Jane Baker Cornett. Yvonne had worked at Aisin in Lily. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Sanders Sr; granddaughter, Maile Sanders; brothers, Elmer and Rufus Cornett; and by her sisters, Carol Sue Shepherd, Annalene Williams, and Gail Harwood.
Yvonne is survived by her son, Shawn Sanders (Samantha); step sons, Curtis Sanders Jr. (Tammy), and Letch Day (Angie); step daughter, Anna Duff (Pete); brothers, Milford Cornett, Rondal Cornett (Nadine), and Wilson Cornett Jr, all of Yeaddiss, KY; sisters, Judith Cornett of Hazard, Evelyn Nash (Bill) of Corbin; Wanda Roark (Lloyd) of Essie, KY; and Jayna Wooten of Wooten, KY; grandchildren, Anela Sanders, Kaili Sanders, Gabrielle Sanders, Koa SandersBlake Sanders, Chase Sanders, Amanda Duff, Justin Duff, Olivia Day, Brandon Day, and Kaitlyn Wilson; and by several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
The funeral service was held Friday, September 7, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Pastor Sean Disney officiating. Entombment followed in the Cornett Cemetery.
