Patricia Lynn Napier

Date:

Patricia Lynn Napier, born March 26, 1946, in Williamsburg, Kentucky, peacefully passed away on November 4, 2024 at Baptist Health in Corbin, Kentucky surrounded by her family. Residing in Jellico, Tennessee, Patricia was a beloved wife to David Napier, her constant companion and spouse since May 6, 1972. She filled her life with love and devotion, both to her husband and to the Lord. Patricia was a dedicated member of the Little Wolf Creek Church of God, where her faith deeply influenced her life and those around her. She walked by faith, not by sight, and her life was a testament to the verse from Proverbs 3:5, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”
Patricia was a diligent worker, spending her professional career as a seamstress at Lyon Uniform. She infused her creativity into everything she did, but her passion lay in music. Patricia wrote countless songs, inspiring and mentoring many singers and musicians. Her love for music and her faith intertwined when she became a founding member of the Rountree Sisters Group. Patricia’s music and her deep faith touched the hearts of many, leaving a lasting legacy of love, faith, and melody.
Patricia is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, David Napier, and her sister, Phylis Lawson; several nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Enoch Adrian Rountree and Ruby (Moses) Rountree, her siblings; Nadine Rountree Loomis, Maxine Rountree Moses, Mildred Rountree Bargo, Jimmy Rountree, and Adrian Rountree, Jr.
Visitation will be on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at 11:00 am at Croley Funeral Home, 103 South 2nd Street, Williamsburg, Kentucky. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm at the Little Wolf Creek Church of God, Little Wolf Creek Road, Williamsburg, Kentucky. Interment will be at 2:30 pm at the Oaklawn Addition of Pleasant View Cemetery, Stringtown Road, Williamsburg, Kentucky.
Patricia’s life was a beautiful song of faith, love, and devotion. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her, but her melody will continue to echo in the hearts of those she touched. We encourage friends and family to share your memories and upload photos of Patricia to her memorial page. These shared moments will help keep Patricia’s melody alive in our hearts.
