To the Editor:

What is one quality that shows a value of a man?
The City of Williamsburg Shop-With-A-Cop Program, Turkey Trot Planning Committee, and Mayor Roddy Harrison would like to thank all the sponsors that made the 2nd Annual Turkey Trot 5K walk and run a success. Proceeds from this race alone will give 50 underprivileged kids the opportunity to go out and purchase things on their Christmas wish list, and remember this: “The value of a man resides in what he gives and not in what he is capable of receiving.” – Albert Einstein Thanks to the following sponsors: City of Williamsburg Main Street Program, Davis Salvage Co., W.D. Bryant & Sons, Williamsburg Occupational Health, E-Z Mart Shell, WEZJ Radio, The Sign Place, Whitley County Fiscal Court, R.C. Miller Oil Co., Jellico Community Hospital, Williamsburg Family Medical, Whitley County Homemakers, to all those that donated pies and cakes, Highbridge Springs Water Co., Pepsi, Brashear’s Catering, Mountain Outreach, Wal-Mart, Chartwells (University of the Cumberlands), Parkway Monument, Knox Storage, all walkers and runners that participated in the 5K race and all the volunteers that gave of themselves, their time and commitment to ensure the 2nd Annual Turkey Trot was a complete success. Thank you!
