Hayward and Pauline Burden were married on July 13, 1937 in Williamsburg, Ky. The Rev. Ben Siler married them in his home. Hayward is from McHenry, Ky and was in the CCC at the time he met Pauline. Pauline is the daughter of the late Harry and Ethel Byrd of Williamsburg.
They presently live in Cincinnati, Ohio; but in their hearts, Williamsburg will always be home to them. They have a daughter, Patricia Frederick (Jerry) and a son, Jack Burden (Bettie), six grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.
They celebrated their anniversary with their daughter, Patricia and her husband Jerry.
