William Locke “Bill” Shore was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 8:45 p.m. at the age of 86 years and 6 days after a brief illness.

Bill was born in Huntington, WV on April 16, 1931. He attended Huntington High School prior to joining the United States Army. He was a veteran and served during the Korean Conflict. Since the age of thirteen Bill has been involved in the printing craft and had owned and operated Paragon Printing Company since the mid 60’s. Going into semi-retirement just a few years ago, Bill opened Landmark Printing Company, where he was proprietor and owner until his death. He was a craftsman and artist in the field. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast who regularly rode even until his passing.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Glenna Leah VanHoose Shore; his daughter, Margaret Ann Shore; his son, Vickers Watts Shore; his father, Waldo “Doc” Shore; his mother, Margaret Vivian Watts Shore Nichols; his nephew, George Scott Shore; and his brother, George Hansford Shore.

Bill is lovingly remember by his children, Jennie Leah Shore Watkins, (Ronnie Watkins) of Corbin, Jacqueline “Jackie” Ann Courts of Kenova, WV and Paul Sidney Shore (Donna Shore) of Proctorville, OH, grandchildren, David Christopher Adkins (Jami Adkins) of Huntington, WV, and Caleb Lee Watkins (Morgan Crutchfield Watkins) of Winchester, KY, and Sarah Brittany Courts of Kenova, WV as well as a host of other family and friends who deeply mourn his passing.

The celebration of life will be held at Waverly Road Baptist Church, 4412 Waverly Road, Huntington, WV at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 26, with Brother Donald Scott and Ronnie Watkins officiating.

His interment will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery. A reception will take place immediately following graveside services at the church fellowship hall. All are invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Waverly Road Baptist Church at 4412 Waverly Road, Huntington, WV.
