Bobbie Ann Herren, 86, of Lexington, formerly of Corbin, passed away on Thursday August 31, 2017 at Baptist Health in Lexington.

Born in Corbin, she was a retired cashier with the former IGA in Corbin and was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Helton and Edna Lockhart Helton; and by a son, Harold Edward Sears.

After retiring, Bobbie moved to Lexington to be near her beloved children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  She loved spending time with family as well as her friends at Sayre Christian Village Apartments.  Her love, style, grace, and charm will live on in those whose lives she touched.  To know her was to love her.

Bobbie is survived by her children; Linda Baker and husband Charles, Sharon King, Debra Farris, and Robin McKnight; grandchildren; Scott Stamper, Angela Hancock, Jeff King, Gary Farris, Amber Cossette, Samantha Vernon, and Jewel Sears Baker; great grandchildren; Ethan King, Quincy Hancock, Cannon Cossette, Piper Cossette, Landon Vernon, Paisley Vernon, and Emma Farris; brothers, David Helton, Jimmy Helton, and Ray Helton; and by several nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 6, from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with funeral service beginning at 7 p.m. on Wednesday with Rev. Gary Elliott officiating

Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday September 7th at Rest Haven Cemetery in Corbin.
