Short I-75 lane closures planned for Wednesday, Sept. 20

Date:

If you’re planning to travel north on I-75 Wednesday, Sept. 20, in either Whitley or Laurel counties, then take note.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to restrict northbound traffic to one lane at mile points 7.9 in Whitley County, and mile 42.4 in Laurel County on that date.

The lane restrictions will allow crews to perform a detailed inspection of the bridge structures.

Northbound traffic at mile point 7.9 will be reduced to one lane between 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.

Northbound traffic at mile point 42.4 will be reduced to one lane between 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Motorists are advised to use caution during this period and be aware of signage, road crews and other drivers.

The date, time, and duration of work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur. Dial 511 or navigate 511.ky.gov, and Waze, www.waze.com for the latest in traffic and travel information in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
