SFC Lloyd Taylor, RET., 83, of Corbin passed away Thursday, September 21, 2017, at Baptist Health Corbin.

Born June 26, 1934, in Woodbine, he was the son of the late Dempse and Grace Taylor.

A veteran of both the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for 20 years.

In addition to his father and mother, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Marvin Roy Taylor; brother, Paul Taylor; and sister, Barbara Taylor.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 57 years, Dorothy Taylor; three sons: Robert Taylor (Tammy), Tony Taylor (Barbie); and Clifford Taylor; five grandchildren: Tara Young (Derrick), Dylan Taylor (Tabitha), Robert Taylor (Malaina), Nick Taylor, and Megan Taylor; three great-grandchildren: Dazlan Young, Daegan Young, and Maelee Taylor; three brothers: Junior Taylor (Carol), Wayne Taylor (Shirley), and Doyle Taylor; and three sisters: Pat Goodin (Bob), Dorotha Widener, and Sandy Taylor. He is also survived by other relatives and numerous friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, September 25, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bob Goodin officiating.

Burial will follow in Corinth Cemetery with military rites by the D.A.V. Chapter 158.

The family will receive friends from 12 – 2 p.m. Monday at Hart Funeral Home, located at 1011 Master Street in Corbin.
