Phillip Michael McGhee, 67, of Jellico, TN, passed away Monday, January 1, 2018 at the Jellico Community Hospital surrounded by his family.

He was born on December 11, 1950 to the late Silas F. McGhee and June (Siddall) McGhee in Jellico.

He was a member of the First Christian Church of Jellico.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mike McGhee and Nannie B. (Ford) McGhee; maternal grandparents, Sylvanus (Phillip) Virgil Siddall and Charlsie C. (Fritts) Siddall; father and mother-in-law, Charles Russell Walker and Nora E. “Mickey” (Bryant) Walker.

He is survived by wife, Joann (Walker) McGhee; sons, Michael McGhee and Kevin McGhee, all of Jellico; grandchildren, Hunter, Dakota, Braxton, Dusty, Landon, Heath and Heather; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Silas F. McGhee, Jr. and Robert L. McGhee, and wife, Maxine; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles Walker, Janice Walker, Jerry Walker, Cathy (Walker) Blankenship and Vickie (Walker) Partin; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of neighbors, friends and other relatives to mourn his passing.

The funeral was held January 4 at the Cox & Son Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charlie Walker officiating.

Burial was held Friday, January 5, at the Douglas Cemetery in the Oswego community.

Cox & Son Funeral Home of Jellico is in charge of all arrangements.
