Rev. Oscar Cupp, 74, of the Wooldridge Community passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born February 25, 1944 in Cubbage, KY.

He loved preaching the gospel, his family, friends and helping others. Oscar always had a smile on his face and enjoyed life to the fullest.

Oscar was preceded in death by an infant son, Oscar Cupp, Jr.; parents, Jessie and Glessie Green Cupp; brothers, Arthur Cupp, J.C. Cupp, Robert Cupp, Harold Cupp, Freeman Cupp, infants brothers; Hillary and Hubert Cupp; son-in-law: Bill Hatmaker.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy Creekmore Cupp; daughters, Patricia “Trish” Hatmaker, Rose Marie Leach and husband Jimmy; five grandchildren: Leslee Lamb and husband Travis, Sarah Creekmore and Nick Lambdin, Abigail Creekmore, Katelyn Leach, Brandon Leach; four great grandchildren, Clare Lamb, Weston Blankenship, Ellis Lambdin, Marcus Blankenship; brother, Donnie Cupp and wife Cynthia; sisters, Earlene Sutton, Linda Hobbs and husband Paul, Edith Taylor and husband Roy, Mag Bennett and husband Jim, and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family to mourn his passing.

Funeral services were held Sunday, July 8, at the Harp Funeral Home with Rev. Junior Dople and Rev. Jerry Yancey officiating.

Burial followed in the Douglas Cemetery (Wooldridge Community).

Harp Funeral Home of Jellico was in charge of arrangements.
