Knox-Whitley Humane Association now AmazonSmile charity

Date:

Helping the Knox-Whitley Humane Association can now be done while shopping online.

The shelter that serves Knox, Whitley, Clay and McCreary counties has been enrolled in the Amazon mile program.

When a shopper purchases items on Amazon through the smile.amazon.com website, Amazon will donate .5 percent of the price of eligible purchases to the charitable organization of the customer’s choice.

According to Amazon officials, there is no cost to the customer. The prices for eligible items are exactly the same as if they were purchased through amazon.com.

Eligible products are marked as such in the product description.

“100 percent of the donation amount generated from your eligible purchase on AmazonSmile will be donated,” Amazon officials stated.

The Knox Whitley Humane Association is located at 66 Busy Lane in Corbin.

More information is available by contacting the humane association at 526-6925.
