Seven area women graduate from Women’s Self Defense Class

Date:

Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that seven local women graduated the Women’s Self Defense Class hosted by the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office at the London/Laurel County Rescue Squad by Special Deputy Elizabeth Sparks on Saturday July 20, 2019.

This class was conducted free of charge and is Nationally Recognized.

Sheriff Root stresses that it is the goal at the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office to make area female citizens more aware of their surroundings, and to provide some preventative safety measures that can be utilized along with some basic self defense that can be deployed in the unlikely event of an attack.

Future classes will be posted on the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.

For questions about upcoming classes e-mail Special Deputy Sparks at e.sparks@laurelcountysheriff.com.
