Col. Sanders statue to be unveiled Wednesday night

  After more than five years of work, the centerpiece of Sanders Park, the bronze statue of KFC founder Col. Harland Sanders, will be unveiled Wednesday night.

Artist Raymond Graf, who has been working on the statue for more than a year, installed with piece Monday afternoon.

“It means a lot,” said Suzy Razmus, Chair of the Friends of Colonel Sanders, when asked about seeing the organization’s work finally complete. “He looks great.

The official dedication of the park and unveiling of the statue will take place at 5:30 p.m. at the park on Main Street.

It is free and open to the public.
