 NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR RECLAMATION DEFERMENT DUE TO COAL MARKETING PROBLEMS

In accordance with 405 KAR 16:020, notice is hereby given that Investment Energy LLC, PO Box 174, Gray, KY 40734 has applied for a coal marketing deferment for its surface coal mining and reclamation operation, permit number 918-0462. Deferment of reclamation is being requested for approximately 4 acres. The operation for which the reclamation deferment is requested is located 1 mile north of Mountain Ash in Whitley County. The surface area is owned by Kathy Carpenter.

The operation is approximately 1.2 miles north from Old Mountain Ash Road’s Junction with US 25W and located 0.5 miles east of Clear Fork on the Williamsburg and Saxton USGS 7 1/2 minute quadrangle maps.

The deferment is sought due to a coal marketing problem and is being requested for an initial period of six months. The deferment may be renewed for additional periods up to a maximum of 30 months.

 

The application has been filed for public inspection at the Division of Mine Reclamation & Enforcement’s Middlesboro Regional Office, 1804 East Cumberland Ave., Middlesboro, KY 40965. Written comments or objections must be filed within 10 days of this notice with the Director, Division of Mine Permits, #2 Hudson Hollow, Frankfort, KY 40601.


NOTICE:

An action has been filed in the Whitley Circuit Court by US Bank against William Woosley and others, including the heirs, devisees, legatees and beneficiaries of Joyce Carroll. This involves an interest in land that was owned by Bill Carroll and his wife Joyce Carroll located at 544 Roden Road, Corbin, Kentucky. Please contact the law office of Marcia Smith, Corbin, Kentucky, 606-528-5001, if you have any information about the heirs or beneficiaries of the estate of Joyce Carroll, deceased.
