Laurel County Sheriff’s deputies are asking for the public’s help in identifying the man involved in the theft of more than $3,800 worth of merchandise from Walmart in Corbin.
According to Sheriff John Root, the individual was able to leave the store on two different days with a shopping cart full of merchandise.
“These incidents were not shoplifting crimes but actual thefts that occurred from the store,” Root stated.
On both occasions, the individual is seen on surveillance video inside the store very late at night and then leaving the store with the full shopping carts.
On May 1, the individual left with more than $1,446 worth of items and on May 6 he left with more than $2,367 worth of merchandise.
The stolen items include: routers, batteries, chargers electronic tools and equipment and Duck pants.
Soon after leaving the store, video surveillance of the parking lot show a dark colored car, possibly a Chrysler 300, leaving the parking lot.
