The City of Corbin has prepared a lineup of events for the New Year designed to give residents and tourists something to look forward to and enjoy.

From the KY Fishing Expo and Corbin Creators Fair to a packed schedule at the Corbin Public Library, this New Year promises something for everyone.

Austin City Saloon will host Trivia Nights every Monday in January at 7:00 p.m. for anyone interested in testing their knowledge in a friendly, competitive atmosphere.

The 2026 Kentucky Fishing Expo, presented by Cumberland Valley National Bank, will be held at the Corbin Arena on Jan. 9 (1:00 – 7:00 p.m.), Jan. 10 (10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.), and Jan. 11 (12:00 – 5:00 p.m.). Special guest Hank Parker, a legendary figure in the fishing world, will make an appearance. The Hog Trough mobile fishing tank will offer live demonstrations, while vendors display the latest in tackle, electronics, gear, and new boats from Pittsburg Marine. The expo also features seminars, hands-on demos, and family-friendly activities, including a visit from the PAW Patrol for young attendees. Admission is $5, with free entry for children under 12 and military veterans. Tickets are available online at www.kyfishingexpo.com or at the door.

Corbin’s Restaurant Week, taking place from Jan. 12–18, is a seven-day celebration perfect for exploring local dining options or discovering a new favorite spot. Nine restaurants will participate, with details and special deals announced on the Corbin Tourism and Convention Commission’s Facebook event page.

“The goal with Restaurant Week is to raise awareness of these establishments,” said Roberts. “They add to the experience and to the magic of Corbin.”

Looking forward to February, the Corbin Creators Fair is scheduled for Feb. 7 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Corbin Civic Center, and is free to the public. The event will showcase handmade goods, crafts, books, and artwork from local creators. For more details, visit the Corbin Creators Fair Facebook page.

“I would love to encourage people to come out and attend these events,” Roberts said. “It means a lot to the event organizers when they see people coming and enjoying the event that they’ve put together.”

Roberts also said Corbin Tourism is continuing to partner up with Cumberland Valley Cruise-in, and expects future events with them.
