Arthur Clark Duncan, Jr., age 88, of Powell, Tennessee, formerly of Williamsburg, Kentucky, passed away Sunday evening, September 22, 2024, at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville, TN.
He was born on December 28, 1935, to the late Arthur Clark Duncan, Sr. and Wilsie Oakley (Nunley) Duncan in Harlan, KY. He was the grandson of the late Edward Clark Duncan and Susan Jane (Harris) Duncan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Duncan; son, Steven Clark Duncan; and sister, Annette (Duncan) Wallace Fuller Kohen.
He is survived by his daughter, Sandra Meadows, and husband, Sherman, of Powell, TN; sister, Mary (Duncan) Parker, of Kentucky; brother, Jerry Fisher, of Indiana, and a host of friends, neighbors, and other relatives to mourn his passing.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday afternoon, September 26, from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. at the Crouches Church Baptist Church located at 1518 Fifth Street in Jellico, TN.
The funeral will immediately follow on Thursday afternoon, September 26, at 2:00 p.m. at the Crouches Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeff Sizemore officiating.
Military Graveside Honors will be conducted by the Jellico Honor Guard following the funeral at the Young’s Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Graveside service and interment will immediately follow.
Cox & Son Funeral Home of Jellico in charge of arrangements.
