Jerry Wayne Hill

Jerry Wayne Hill, born on March 31, 1949 in Pineville, KY, passed away on September 21, 2024.
A resident of Williamsburg, KY, Jerry was a man of the earth, his hands shaped by the honest work he loved.
Jerry found joy in working at the sawmill, logging, farming tobacco and hay, and working on his tractors. These were not just jobs to him, but a way of life, a testament to his dedication and tenacity.
Jerry’s family was the cornerstone of his life. He was a loving husband to Faye Hill, and a devoted father to Sharon (Charles) Elliott, Vanessa (Dustin) Richardson, and Brian (Danielle) Hill. He took great pleasure in spending time with his grandchildren, Madison Richardson, Kimberly Hudson, Kylie Hudson, Bristol Hill, and Eastyn Hill. His siblings, Freda Smithers and Linda (Kenneth) Paul, sister-in-law, Peggy Lambdin, and brothers-in-law, Eddie Hill and Ray (Michelle) Hill survive him. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and a multitude of friends, whose lives were touched by his kindness. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, John and Florence Hill; brothers, Tom, Noble, and Roy Hill; father-in-law, Hancer Hill; mother-in-law, Hazel Hill; brothers-in-law, Billy and JR Hill; sisters-in-law, Pearle Broyles, Mary Hill, and Wanda Hill.
A visitation will be held in Jerry’s honor on Tuesday, September 24, at 5:00pm at the Croley Funeral Home, located at 103 South 2nd Street, Williamsburg, Kentucky.
The funeral service will occur the following day, Wednesday, September 25, at 1:00pm, also at the Croley Funeral Home. Jerry will be laid to rest at 3:00pm on the same day at the Jerry and Faye Hill Family Cemetery, located at 3524 Browns Creek Road, Williamsburg.
Jerry’s life was a testament to the power of hard work and dedication, and his legacy will continue to resonate in the lives he touched.
