Arthur Hinkle

Arthur Hinkle, 76, of Corbin, went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 24, 2018 at The Heritage in Corbin.

He was born on December 7, 1941 to the late Dan and Mary Lawson Hinkle. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Flossie Sulfridge and Opal Lovitt; two brothers, Arlis Hinkle and Harrison Davis.

Arthur was a member and deacon of the Corbin Gospel Temple Church of God.

He was a veteran of the US Army during the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years Veda Hinkle of Corbin; daughter, Beverly (Jimmy) Walters of Barbourville; three grandchildren: Jeremy Elliotte, Coty Walters (Lauren Sowders) and his favorite Catie Beth Walters; two sisters: Flonnie (Red) Lewis, Geneva (Gene) Gregory of Corbin; brother, Oscar Hinkle; several nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

The funeral service was held Sunday, August 26, at Corbin Gospel Temple Church of God with the Rev. Jerome Cox officiating.

Interment was in the Bingham Cemetery.
