Baptist Health Corbin team gives back to the community

Date:

Members of the Baptist Health Corbin Quality Department recently volunteered their time at White Flag Ministry, a local organization committed to providing food and fellowship to those in need.

In addition to preparing and serving meals, Trauma Coordinator Noah Jones led an informative discussion on fall safety and prevention, a topic relevant to all ages.

“Falls can happen to anyone, but many are preventable with just a few simple steps,” Noah shared. “By making small changes at home and staying aware of your surroundings, you can greatly reduce your risk.”

Attendees, who participated in the session, were entered into a drawing for a $50 gift card, generously donated by Shoe Inn of Corbin.

“We’re proud of our team’s ongoing commitment to making a difference – both within our hospital and throughout our community,” said Heather Napier, Executive Director of Quality & Outcomes at Baptist Health Corbin.

Baptist Health Corbin is a 273-bed, acute care facility providing a wide variety of healthcare services to residents of Whitley, Knox, Laurel, Bell, Clay, Harlan and McCreary counties in Kentucky and Campbell County in Tennessee.
