Carol Jean Sears, age 73, of Rockholds, Kentucky departed this life on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at the Baptist Health in Corbin, Kentucky. She was born on February 25, 1949 in Williamsburg, Kentucky to Edd Carr and Opal (Brown) Carr.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edd and Opal (Brown) Carr; brother, Bobby Carr; and grandson, Josh King. She was a member of the Blessed Hope Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Eddie Arnold Sears of Rockholds; four children, Terry Hamblin and wife Matilda of Williamsburg, Rhonda Canada of Corbin, Jeff Hamblin of Irvine, Kentucky, and Bill Hamblin of Williamsburg; eight grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sister, Faye Logan and husband Rev. Jimmy Logan of Rockholds; four brothers, Harold Carr of Rockholds, Doyle Carr of Corbin, Donnie Carr and wife Frances of Rockholds, and Charles Carr of Corbin; many nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral service was Sunday, March 13, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Logan and Bro. T. J. Hamblin officiating.
She will be laid to rest in the Sharp Cemetery on Lowell Brown Road.
