Emmitt Whitaker, age 86, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, July 16, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services were held on Monday, July 19, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. Entombment followed in Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Lily. Eric Christopher Sutton, 50, passed away July 11, 2021 at the home of his parents in Williamsburg, Kentucky. He was born October 9, 1970 in Somerset, Kentucky. His family moved to Williamsburg in 1973. He attended Williamsburg Independent Schools where he played guitar in the Jazz Band under the tutelage of the late Nanny Hayes and was a member of the All-State Choir. Eric was an accomplished musician and played with several bands.
