Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Jones; grandson, Tye Hamblin; and one sister, Donna Kay Ping. Glenn Garlan Gilliam, Jr., age 72, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at the Eastern Kentucky Veterans Center in Hazard, Ky. Glenn was born August 28, 1952 to the late Glenn Garlan Gilliam, Sr. and Mary Begley Gilliam. He was retired from The United States Postal Service and a former service member of the United States Navy. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Angela Gilliam Clarkson.
