David Lewallen, 55, of Corbin, passed away Monday, June 18, 2018 at UK Bluegrass Hospice Care Center in Lexington after battling cancer. He was preceded in death by his brother Billy Ray Lewallen and sister Phyllis Ann Lewallen Morton. David is survived by his parents, Clarence and Betty Lewallen; daughter Nicole; granddaughter Bella; brother Jimmy Lewallen; and niece Brittany Collette. Funeral service was held June 21, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. James Hodge officiating. Burial was in the Rest Haven Cemetery. Marjorie Pfoff, 90, of Edgewood, (formerly of Rockholds) departed this life on Sunday, June 24, 2018. She was born on January 11, 1928 in Whitley County, to the late Arthur Jones and Maude Mitchell Jones. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ray Pfoff. She was a member of Rockholds Methodist Church and Piney Grove Methodist Church. Marjorie and Ray Pfoff owned and operated a hardware and grocery store in Rockholds for many years. Bessie Lee Jewell born on January 9, 1929 in West Zeigler, Illinois. She was carried to the presence of her Lord from her Ava Maria Home in Memphis, TN on June 23, 2018. There she joins her husband Woodrow Jewell. This great lady will be missed by those she left behind. She was born on August 14, 1932 in Williamsburg, to the late George Eaton and Susan Peace Eaton. Chester Frank Guiher, Jr., 72, the husband of the late Cherry L. Guiher of Gilmore Archer Road, Corbin, passed away on Saturday evening at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday morning in the Laurel Funeral Home chapel with Bro. James Saylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Horse Creek Cemetery in Corbin. Christine Mary (Brown) Rains, 75, formerly of Williamsburg, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2018 at the Hillsprings Nursing Home in Springboro, OH. Marcella Jean Angel Freeman, of Elizabethtown, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2018 at her home. Jean was born in Williamsburg, to M. L. and Stella Angel. She taught school in Williamsburg, Lexington, and Lawton, OK before retiring from the Elizabethtown Independent School System. She was a graduate of Cumberland College and Eastern Kentucky University along with doctorate work at the University of Kentucky. She was a member of Severns Valley Baptist Church where she shared her love of faith and music in the choir and childrens ministries. Doyle Ray Marsee, 75, of Jellico, TN went to be with The Lord on Friday June 15, 2018 at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, TN. Ray is preceded in death by his parents, Nell Mayes Marsee and Willous Marsee and his beloved son, Marty Marsee. Ray was a member of Masonic Lodge #488 F&AM of Powell Valley Tennessee for over 50 years. Ray served as deacon at the Crouches Creek Baptist Church in Jellico, TN.
