Josephine L. Hoffman

Josephine L. Hoffman, 84, of Corbin passed away Saturday, September 2, 2017 at The Heritage. Born in Corbin, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Bernice Weaver Poynter. Her husband Carl Hoffman and brothers Walter “Buddy” Poynter, Jr., Eddie Poynter and Roy Poynter also preceded her in death. Jo was raised and baptised at First Christian Church.  She enjoyed fishing, had coached a girls’ softball team years ago and had been an avid bowler since the 1960s.  She had operated the A-1 Pet Store for many years. Jay Darren Murray, 53, of Jellico, TN passed away Monday, August 28, 2017 at his home. He was born November 17, 1963 in Williamsburg. He missed working with his wreckers so much and would always talk about it whenever he could, telling about all the wrecks he had pulled in. Jay worked hard even during his younger years. He would drive a coal truck to school and leave at lunch and work the rest of the day. Kay K. Inman

Kay K. Inman, 71, formerly of Williamsburg, and most recently of Bendersville, PA, died Saturday, August 26 at York Hospital, after a hard battle with cancer, surrounded by her family that loves her deeply. She was born January 22, 1946 in Lihue, Kauai, HI, daughter of the late Edward Tadashi and Mikie (Fujita) Hashimoto. Kay graduated from high school in Honolulu, HI in 1964. Kay was a homemaker most of her life. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting and doing crafts. She also enjoyed ceramics and pottery. Gardening was a very important part of her life, as was cooking.
