Terry Lee Rowland, 67, of Bismarck, ND, formerly of Corbin, KY and Xenia, OH, passed away November 24, 2016 in Bismarck.
Born January 4, 1949 in Corbin, he was the son of the late Dewey A. Rowland of Corbin and Dorothy E. Rowland. His brother David Kurt Rowland also preceded him in death.
Terry graduated from the Xenia (OH) Senior High School in 1967, Sinclair Community College at Dayton, and Wright State University at Fairborn in 1975 with a degree in geology, the field in which he worked from 1979 until 2012. Shirley Tompkins Barker, 88 of Corbin, passed away Sunday, May 21, 2017, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, OH.
Born in Corbin, on April 14, 1929, she was the daughter of William W. (Bill) and Bessie Messer Tompkins.
She married Randall D. Barker on November 28, 1952. She was a graduate of Cumberland College and Eastern State Teacher’s College, also earning her Master’s Degree from Eastern Kentucky University. She taught for over 30 years in the Fleming-Neon, Knox County, and Corbin City School districts.

Randy Petrey, 54, of East Highway 904, Williamsburg, departed this life on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at his home.
He was born on November 25, 1962 in Williamsburg, to the late Joe Petrey and Zelma (Shelton) Petrey.
In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his grandparents. Randy was a member of the United Auto Workers.
