Kenneth J. Carr, 71, of Williamsburg, passed away Monday February 20, 2017 at Baptist Health Lexington in Lexington. He was born October 25, 1945 in Jellico, TN, to the late Wolford Carr and the late Dorcas Beams Carr. He was a member of Wolf Creek Baptist Church where he was song leader and a trustee. Bobby Gene Hicks, 82, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at his home in Corbin. Born in Corbin, he was the son of the late Walter and Alma Townsend Hicks. He was also preceded in death by sons James “Jimbo” Hicks and Bobby Michael Hicks; and by ten brothers and sisters. Bobby was southern Baptist by faith and was a fan of Kentucky basketball and of country music. He had worked as a brakeman and conductor for L&N/ CSX Railroad, and was a U.S. Army veteran. Winslow Marcum, 57, of Lily, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at St. Joseph Hospital in London. He is survived by his wife Geneva Hollin Marcum. Opal McKeehan Goodin, 95, of Corbin, passed away February 21, 2017 at Baptist Health of Corbin, She was born February 16, 1922 in Corbin to the late Howard and Betty  (Woods) Tye. Opal worked for AT&T  for many years until her retirement in 1980, she belonged to the Pioneers and was of the Baptist faith. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by, her husband A.T.
