Do you need prayer? You may have recently seen a man standing close to the street corner of 25W and South Main Street in Corbin, and wondered to yourself, what is that guy doing? “Preacher Mike, or just Mike”, as he asked to be called, (preferring to not use his surname), stands on the sidewalk about two hours almost every weekday, and sometimes on Saturdays. KSP Post 11 welcomes two additional Sergeants to Command Staff

Kentucky State Police Post 11, London is pleased to welcome two additional Sergeants to the command staff at Post 11. The two agency veterans have been reassigned to the London Post as of February 1st. They are:   * Sergeant Les Moses, Williamsburg, a 12 year veteran of the agency will be assigned to Squad Sergeant of Pulaski and Rockcastle Counties.         * Sergeant Jason Partin, Barbourville, a 7 year veteran of the agency will be assigned as the Special Detail Sergeant.

Hong Kong students enjoy snow days in Corbin

A group of teachers and students from Hong Kong got to experience two staples of American schools during their 10 days in Corbin – the holiday and the snow day. After arriving in Corbin Jan. 15, the students enjoyed a three-day weekend with their host families because of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday on Jan. 18. After going to school on Tuesday, the area was hit with the first round of snow, resulting in school being closed Wednesday and Thursday. A second round of snow closed school Friday.
