Katy Powers, senior, was crowned the 2021 Basketball Homecoming Queen at the Whitley County Colonels vs. Williamsburg basketball game last Saturday. Powers is the daughter of Tracy and Travis Powers. She was escorted by her brother, Kaden Powers.

The Corbin Lady Redhounds got back got back on the winning track in impressive style Friday night with a 73-64 victory at Whitley County.
“I just feel we came out and competed for four quarters,” said Coach Isaac Wilson. “Raegan (Walker) stepped in and played more minutes. All-in-all just a team effort.”
Walker led the way with 22 points, shooting 73 percent from the field. Kallie Housley added 18 and Shelby Stewart knocked down 14.

The Whitley County boys basketball game against Knox Central has been cancelled.
The game had been scheduled to tip off at 7:30 p.m. at Whitley County High School.
Superintendent John Siler said the game has been cancelled because of COVID–19, which has forced the team and coaching staff to quarantine.
The quarantine could last up to 14 days, depending on a number of factors.
