Just two days after announcing the resignation of Zeke Eier, the Whitley County High School football program has named Matt Rhymer as its newest head coach. A statement from the school district Friday morning said, "Matt Rhymer will take the helm as the new football coach at Whitley County High School. The announcement was made this morning." After two seasons at the helm, Zeke Eier is stepping down as the head coach of the Whitley County High School football program. A press release sent out by the school district Wednesday morning said, "After two seasons as head football coach at Whitley County High School, Zeke Eier has resigned. Eier will continue to teach in the district and to work with the wrestling team."
