It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Charles E. Wynn, born on the 16th of September, 1960, and departed this life on the 25th of June, 2025.
A native of Louisville, West Virginia, Charles spent his golden years in Rockhold, Kentucky, where he was a beloved figure and an icon of the community. As the famous author Mark Twain once said, “The secret to getting ahead is getting started.” Charles embodied this spirit throughout his life, dedicating himself to his family, work, and community with unmatched vigor and passion.
Charles was a beacon of love, kindness, and strength to his family and friends. He is survived by his devoted wife, Trina Wynn; his loving children, Danieele Wynn, Logan Parrett (Shanna), and Joshua Wynn (Megan). He was a cherished grandfather to Jaiden Wynn, Kara Parrett, Kamdynn Parrett, Greyson Hampton, Addison Doan, and Jaxon Doan. Charles was also a dear brother, to Michael (Donna), Phillip (Melinda), and Richard Wynn (Rhonda). His vibrant spirit will continue to live on through them and everyone he touched.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Sr. and Bonnie Wynn; and his sisters, Diana Kirk, Linda Griffith, and Etta Wynn.
In his professional life, Charles was a dedicated worker, respected by his colleagues and deeply appreciated for his commitment and dedication. He made a remarkable difference in the lives of many, and his retirement marked the end of an era. As Albert Einstein said, “Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile.” Charles’ life was indeed worthwhile, and his legacy will continue to inspire all who knew him.
We invite you to share your memories and photos of Charles on his memorial page. Your stories and pictures will serve as a tribute to his life and help us all remember the joy and happiness he brought into our lives.
