City of Corbin seeking $9.9 million in road improvement grant funds

The Corbin City Commission is seeking $9.9 million in federal grant money to make Corbin streets just a bit safer, but it is unclear whether the federal program they are seeking the funds through will continue with a new presidential administration now in Washington D.C.

Prior to the start of Monday’s Corbin City Commission meeting, Whitley District Judge Cathy Prewitt administered the oath of office to newly re-elected Corbin City Commission members Allison Moore, James Gambrel, Brandon Shepherd, and John Baker.
