Corbin police officers, who have to shoot someone in the line of duty, and Corbin firefighters, who have to extricate a dead child from a crashed vehicle, are examples of two instances when city employees will be able to get up to 48 hours of paid leave time in order to help them psychologically process the loss.
During Monday’s regular monthly Corbin City Commission meeting, the commission authorized Corbin City Attorney Bob Hammons and City Clerk Tori Mouser to draft a municipal order codifying that the leave time be paid.
