Corbin Elementary students complete ‘Kindness Week’

Date:

Between Feb. 13-17, students at Corbin Elementary School participated in “Kindness Week,” which guidance counselor JeriKay Wynn explained was a spin on “Random Acts of Kindness Week,” observed each year during the week of Valentine’s Day.

Each day, students wore a different color and were tasked with challenges to show kindness to others, and themselves.

The student leadership team led students in wearing: Green for Gratitude, Red for Self-Kindness, Yellow for Positivity, Blue for Encouragement and Orange for Helpfulness.

Students also had the opportunity to sign kindness pledge cards and receive special wrist bands. The pledge cards were displayed on a large bulletin board in the cafeteria.
