Corbin man arrested for 2009 beating with brass knuckles

He allegedly punched a man in the face with brass knuckles and then kicked him in the head on Dec. 22, 2009. Now, Michael Joe Jordan, Sr. is behind bars while awaiting court proceedings.

Jordan, 49, of Corbin has been charged with one count of second-degree assault. In addition, he is charged with theft by unlawful taking as the complainant, Tommy Stewart, claims that after beating him, Jordan took his cell phone.

Corbin Police Officer Steve Meadors arrested Jordan on the warrant Saturday night at his home on Livingston Street.

He was lodged in the Whitley County Detention Center. As of Monday, he remains in custody on a $25,000 cash bond.
