Corbin Police arrest three people in buy/bust operation

Corbin Police Capt. Rob Jones said the informant went to a home on Carter Street and purchased Oxycontin from Ronald Dye, 51, Gene Dye, 33 and Anna Turner, 33.

Police then executed a search warrant at the residence, recovering the money the informant used to purchase the drugs.

Jones said officers found an undisclosed number of Xanax pills, scales, straws and hose clamps in the bedroom where they found Turner, three unidentified green pills in the engine compartment of Ronald Dye’s car and a single marijuana plant growing in the back yard.

Ronald Dye was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, and first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

Gene Dye was charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, third-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and cultivating marijuana –– less than five plants.

Turner was charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, third-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and cultivating marijuana –– less than five plants.

The suspects were lodged in the Whitley County Detention Center.
