Friday Night Highlights – 11/14

Date:

The Corbin Redhounds hosted the Wayne County Cardinals for the second time this season Friday night, and just like the first time, the Hounds were the victors. They won 35-6, improving their record to 11-1 on the season and advancing them to the next round of the Class 3A state championship playoffs where they will play the winner of Bell County versus Louisville Central. That game will be held at Campbell Field in Corbin next Friday night.

Also tonight, the Williamsburg Yellow Jackets went to 12-0 on the season with a 55-13 win over the Harlan Green Dragons. Next week they will travel to play the Hazard Bulldogs in a rematch of last year’s region title match.

For more information on these games, as well as previews of both region championships, pick up next Wednesday’s edition of The News Journal!
