Friends, family celebrate Rosa Berry’s 100th birthday

Date:

Friends and family members gathered at the Merry Jeffries Center Saturday afternoon to celebrate the 100th birthday of Williamsburg resident Rosa May Berry.

Berry couldn’t be physically present for the party, but Mayor Roddy Harrison presented a key to the city in her honor, which was accepted by her oldest son, John Berry.

“We just celebrated our town turning 200 years old, and she has lived half of it – that is phenomenal,” Harrison noted.
