Update: Missing Whitley County teen located

A Golden Alert has been issued for a Whitley County teenager, who went missing Friday afternoon.

Benjamin Woodson Harvey, 15, was reported missing at 3:32 p.m. Friday from a home at 257 Ova Lane, Williamsburg, which is located in the Canadatown community.

The juvenile reportedly left the residence due to placement with social services, and he is considered mentally incompetent, according to his missing person report.

Harvey requires medication that he left at home.

Harvey is a 6’0” tall white male, who weighs approximately 130 pounds. He has sandy blond hair, a fair complexion and blue eyes.

He was last seen wearing jeans, a camo hoodie and brown slip on boots.

He has earrings in both ears and is supposed to wear eye glasses.

Law enforcement, emergency management and rescue workers have been notified.

Anyone with information about Harvey’s whereabouts is asked to contact Whitley County E-911 at 549-6017 or to call 911.

UPDATE: According to the Whitley County Sheriff’s Department, Harvey was located at 12:25 a.m. Saturday.
