wgordon-geistGordon T. “Flash” Geist, 53, of River Road, Williamsburg, departed this life on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at his home.

He was born on October 9, 1963 in Upland, CA to the late Edwin Geist and Mary Jane (Peterson) Geist.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Debra Geist; nephew, Lil Van Geist; and grandson, Bryar Moore.

He is survived by his wife, Sheila Ann (McCullah) Geist of Williamsburg; daughters, Linda Thompson (Stan), Amanda Gilreath (Shannon), Jami Patterson (Roger), and Angie Gilreath (John), all of Williamsburg; grandchildren, Shaelynn Canada, Logan Partin, Brydon Moore, Kaden Moore, and Waylon Bennett; brother, Van Geist (Carolyn) of Alabama; sister, Suzanne Burens (Jim) of Alabama; mother-in law and father-in-law, R.L. McCullah (Jewelene) and Grace Powers McCullah; special friends, Stevie Canada, Ken Smith, and Rob Meadors; and host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.

The funeral service was held Thursday, December 15, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Anthony Carter officiating.

He was laid to rest in the Powers Family Cemetery in the Mulberry Community.
