Lily man indicted for assaulting officer with car

A Lily man was indicted Friday in Laurel County for allegedly assaulting a Laurel County Sheriff’s deputy with his car.

Forty-two-year-old Roger Sizemore was indicted on charges of second-degree assault, first-degree fleeing or evading police and first-degree persistent felony offender.

The charges stem from an incident on Jan. 30 during which Sizemore allegedly drug Deputy Tommy Houston alongside his vehicle as Houston was attempting to detain him.
